that's cool that he would say that, but just to an extent. he gets kinda' preachy with his, "Shame on you... You should be proud..." routine.

levon helm just said the same thing on the A&E dylan biog a couple of months ago, but he said it most succinctly... "we are lucky to live in his times" #reply-14208561.

jakob sounds as though he is just figuring stuff out that so many already know.

what a stupid way to measure a performer's impact and worth. you'd think that, especially in an article that is dealing with bob dylan, the author would have more sense than to throw out record sales numbers like that. i mean, the freaking beastie boys and michael jackson and a whole truckload of vomit pop artists have sold more records than bob dylan.
