The numbers for gun "defensive" uses are difficult to obtain. The progun numbers on this are impossible to trust, same with the pro-control numbers. And in order to be able to use a gun effectively that probably means it wasn't secured in a locked cabinet... I don't know how "many" people there are "protected" in this way. And I suspect that neither do you. So I'm not sure you CAN know that the number of rage shootings outweighs the number of defensive shootings.
