A good friend of mine is a jack-of-all-trades sort of fella who does not have much formal education. I have always thought of him as wise in many ways. Well, the other night he comes over unexpectedly, with a bottle of gin under his arm.

After 5 or 6 shots he mentions that he believes we are headed for the worst recession *ever* and wants to know what I think. Well, you can imagine the fine time we had.

Like me, he owns some land is not at all worried for his own welfare. He's raised chickens before and he'll do it again if he has to. Other essentials like bathtub gin are also easily dealt with.
