<there is a convention in town>

Yeah, that's what I heard. Nemer saved me quite a lot of outlay by reco'ing the Trop. Bellagio was $400 for a cheap room, the Rio was 180 and 290 for the following day, and so on. The Trop averaged out to perhaps $125 a night. So it's in the neighborhood of $500 I have extra for the tables.

More importantly it was of some concern that I would not have a hotel the first night. Getting a room at the Trop and at a discount from the others was a minor windfall.

Saw the golf list, reluctant to commit because I have Junior coming in Friday night. There goes my windfall, his plane ticket is $371.50; I think he may be a bit put out if he gets the impression that I flew him out there just so we have a caddy.

He is a good caddy, but Badlands greens are probably difficult for him to read. So if we are playing Friday I would like to play but Saturday I would like to take him around the Strip.

Of course, he could find his own way around the Strip I suppose. I have to think about that.
