Skeeter, with all due respect you don't seem to have any experience in modern implementations of these systems which are almost impossible to get up and running. Why did compaq, NT, etc. (name your debacle) spend 45 million+ on logistics automation if its so easy? And these guys failed!! Ever actually tried to implement a virtual warehouse? It is NOT easy. Otoh, if you are choosing to comment on only the buy-side part of b2b, which is simply putting the purchasing schedule on the web, then I agree it is easy. But that would not be presenting a true picture. i have been in high tech electronics manufacturing (the real kind) just shy of 7 years. i can tell you that automating these types of business processes: 1. makes sense. 2. IS NOT rocket science. 3. isn't a panacea.
