Janet Reno Investigates Applied Materials !!! Applied Materials (AMAT:Nasdaq - news) received notification from the Department of Justice about an investigation into the company's technology licensing. In a press release, the company said it believes its technology-licensing practices are in legal compliance and that it will cooperate fully with the investigation. The stock ended the day up $1.56, or 2.9%, to $55.75. ---------------------------------------------------------- Still wondering why the institutions are unloading large cap technology stocks?
