Genesco ( who owns Journeys which retails generation X footwear ) announced today that they had same store comps up 21% citing strong sellthrough of Vans & Airwalk - They are opening more stores due to the strong demand they are seeing - Take a look at the facts - Vans has had incredible numbers over the last two years - The major players like PSUN stated that Vans is a hot item in their stores ( They are rapidly opening stores which is another plus for Vans ) - Vans management in the recent quarter said that orders already received for the currebt qtr were up 30% over last year - All the pieces are in place - International sales are exploding . It is difficult to be so right about a stock and not see it perform but eventually we should be rewarded!!!
