O...K... I... Don't quite see that as an interesting point. In fact I'm not even sure it is a point. It's more of an over generalization for the purpose of taking another "hack" at Apple.

Apple has had many failures. So many, that if the company was actually as described in this hack it would have never made it to the 21st century!

IMO the whole article is a hatchet job from an overly ambitious hack.

fyi: hack -- (1) A hacking stroke or blow. (2) A horse let out for common hire. (3) A person who works solely for mercenary reasons. (4) A writer who aims solely for commercial success.

Re: A temporary setback? Don't be too sure. Unlike, say, Hewlett-Packard, Apple has always been a company that deals
poorly with failure. When things go bad at Apple, they go very bad.
