The U.S. Code defines the militia as every able-bodied man between 18 and 50. By now they've probably included women.

Frankly though - the idea of some Supreme Court suggesting I surrender my guns on my 51st birthday seems like a real stinker.

Fwiw I think the clause in Article 2 is a reason but not a condition. The folks at Handgun Control, Inc. argue that the text suggests only uniformed militia have the right to etc.
And as we know, the side with the punchier ad campaign wins! We might yet see a Supreme Court convene in order to circumscribe Article Two. I worry that they won't be liberal about it. Liberal in the good ol meaning before LBJ ruined the word for us.
