Cruz incorporated the takeover company as "Jackpot". It wasn't awfully hard to find out who was behind it. The record of incorporation still exists.

I also never saw the name of Cruz mentioned in all those months preceding the Jackpot deal on any of the message boards. His name surfaced just as the SEC was about to halt trading. By then of course it was too late. You have been following this company for a while. What did you know?
