>>>American oil companies aren't the publics enemy. The same goes for American pharmaceutical companies. They provide a valuable service to consumers. In the case of drug companies, they save far more lives than Al Gore ever dreamed of saving. America leads the world in Research and Development on cutting edge drugs, and it's because they are rewarded for those long term efforts.<<<

Don't you find it ironic that America's research and ingenuity invented and developed wind and solar energy techniques only to see Germany and Japan become the leaders of those technologies? I just gotta feeling the GOPwinger ticket will give us the same kind of deprivation when it comes to energy and enviornmental issues.

Regarding drug companies? Seems to me the only time they become benevolent is when they're signing (bribing?) doctors to use their products, or when a public outcry erupts 'cause they've already placed an unconscionable price tag on a particular drug and become unable to gloss over the high price as human misery mounts.
