In addition to QCOM I would argue that JDS Uniphase is a new gorilla. Further, we may well see the resurgence of the enterprise application gorillas, particularly i2 and Seibel, as the Web migrates back into the power sphere of the enterprise. I think there may be an EAI gorilla game about to start as well. On the chip side, Rambus is still an interesting gorilla candidate, and perhaps one could argue that TI's position is DSP chips in gorilla like.
