Peace, agree and would like to add... If everybody expects that we go up, you'd see it (volume, market breadth across all indexes, ups/downs, money inflows, etc). To me, these greens looked stock and sector specific. However... if everyone is expecting and waiting for that big VIX spike, that's not good either. That, to me, is still bubble mentality and that means that we are still in the denial/anxiety stages of a correction.
We need that capitulation stage before we can call any kind of real bottom. Basically, the final nail in the coffin. Only then will we reach the final stage: Capitulation.

To me, this means that whoever capitulates is not going to be participating in the markets for a long time, or possibly ever, after he/she has thrown in the towel.
