Well Wayne, I'm kind of reluctant to post here.

SI might put this thread at the top of their "hot list" and prevent ciVic's thread from getting a spot on it. <g>

I believe SI is trying to resolve a weakness in their hotlist scoring that I noticed over a year ago. The problem stems from the fact that "day-trader" threads or "club" threads will almost always outscore threads devoted to individual stocks.

There are other sites that post RB, SI's and other Investment BB's hotlists. So I believe that SI is adding threads of stock that have some unusual activity associated with them (like an earnings warning) whether or not those threads actually qualify for "hotlist" based on the old scoring criteria.

I personally think this is a good thing, but like most systems, it has its pluses and minuses.
