Selectric, Actually I don't think a president could ban weapons outright without suspending the constitutional government and declaring martial law.

And the only way martial law would prove successful would be in the instance where our national security was so threatened from within, or without, that our professional military supported such an action.

And I kinda doubt that...

Not saying it couldn't happen, but it wouldn't be easy...
