while inventory level is probably the major reason behind the current slump (Intel, dell, compaq, msft) I would not necessarily agree on your view on valuation. If there is an hyperinflated sector that's the internet one, even at the current prices. Within telcos i see good value in e.g. Lucent.

Inventory problems did occur in the past 2 years and yet Intel could recover from that. This is probably an opportunity and an inflection point. :

an opportunity to selectively buy value and an inflection point in that business won't be 'as usual' any longer.
While I keep investing in Intel with confidence i am becoming more wary about many others, and not only about the "godzilla.com" league.
