This bodes well for the outlook of the semi. industry. IBM is a huge supplier of chips and their fab. lines have been on allocation, they are not able to keep up with demand.

As smaller and smaller geometry’s come on-line, lower power, faster, more feature rich devices will hit the market and fuel the technology driven economic expansion. The rate of innovation in the semi. market affects the rate of innovation of end-user technologies. This in turn increases innovation in just about every other industry. As technology becomes ubiquitous throughout our daily lives, the more dependent on it we become. This is a never-ending cycle and I believe we are just entering a new phase of the Technological Age -- differentiated only by the rate of innovation and expansion.
