Ah, I see the same irrationality over on Al Gore vs. GWB thread. People with issues on both sides have lost their ability to reason or find moderation. They can't disagree without vilifying the enemy and attributing beliefs and practices to them that they don't even have.

The cruelty that these Inquisitors could inflict on people in the name of Jesus Christ shocks me. You'd think how Christians were persecuted would have made them understanding about the evils of such practices. While Inquisition torture was usually more private than the deaths in the coliseum, not always. Maybe not the big turn outs of the latter days of Rome, but still quite the little party sometimes where people were drawn and quartered in the public square or roasted alive.

Charming. We aren't that far from it these days, especially in some countries.
