(I apologize for rambling here but....) Talking to my sisters. She's semi-computer savvy. she's complaining that her company has 3 different 'web pages' and she can never tell if she's on a local host behind a lan or if she's out on the internet and she's complaining that the network administrator is all screwed up because he has this evil death grip on her computer. I think people that work with computers over time. just develop this blaming attitude or else they accept that the computers are not perfect and the dumb box really screws up sometimes and pinpointing the source of the box sitting there looking stupid is not always so easy and takes time to iron out. Anything from writing fast loading (shorter) code, to fewer line entries on a data page, to routing changes, to busy time of day. Man it drives you nuts sometimes. Heard a statistic and don't even know if it's still valid that internet traffic continues to grow at 1 percent per day. probably measured in bits? something like 360 million email boxes??
