The Nobel Prize for physics went to the co-inventor of the integrated circuit, Jack Kilby, today.

Kilby, 77, built the first integrated circuit -- or computer chip -- more than 40 years ago during his tenure at Texas Instruments (TXN). Kilby shares the credit for the 1959 patent #3,138,743 of the microchip with Robert Noyce, a technician who was working at Fairchild and simultaneously came up with his own version of the chip"

Dr. Noyce a Technician??? Hardly!

Too bad he's no longer alive to share this long overdue honor!
