IMJ does not go to China unless a deal has already been written and looked over. He is going to sign up the deal or to settle a few last minute details which have come up. He would not go if the deal was not there.

The fact that NOK is along for the ride makes me think even more than NOK is part of Spinco and that they are going to cooperate in China to make one std and one unified approach.

See the picture of Don Schrock shaking hands with someone in China? peopledaily.com.cn

Now who do you suppose would contribute the GSM HW and SW stack and help in WCDMA chip development at Spinco? Who would work ot make a unified GSM overlay for China which makes the system compaitble with all chipsets? And who would be making the handsets for this through a Korean company that they just signed up last minute to hurry a deal? Why would VOD be in China helping if they didn't already have some background in overlay strategy?

I got questions. Any answers?
