Wendell,
This is really not my thing, but as you may be aware, I believe there are several major developements in the works, and with the rather high number of shares in short position......I'm looking for a short squeeze.
Here is a list of events that I feel are very close.
1. European bank installation....High profile
2. IDX winning the massive United Kingdom contract from TRW.
3. Results of talks that I believe will secure IDX's market leadership in the years to come.....(Computer Associates, Lucent, Hewlett Packard, Pittston Brinks)
4. Favorable comments/actions from Oracle
Should any of these pop...( and perhaps even if they don't )......I believe that at least two analysts are ready to begin coverage of IDX......And earnings estimates, price targets, and opinions on IDX will be adjusted seriously upward. (see Commission estimates from past posts)
This is the fun, Wendell.......knowing it can begin at any moment.
So, .......I'm thinking that the shorts run like hell......AND, those brave souls who have written uncoverd calls find that many of the option holders (like myself and many other Commission members) decide that we would like to add to their long position by exercising and thus, calling away the stock. And I figure smart folks won't be selling, because it is just the start of a great long term play.....I don't think institutions will be selling.....They will be buying.
Wouldn't holders of uncovered calls be forced to buy the shares to give to me? If not......how would this work......Who sold me my options? Was it a specific person, or specialist, or firm?
How can I help the shorts find their just reward! What do you think, Wendell......Rob, jump in here anytime....

ps. All IDX........Again, there is no better time to make sure that your shares are not being loaned out by your institution. If you find out that they are.....you may want to reel them back in. Best wishes to all.
pss. Has anyone been in contact with IDX or SouthCoast today? I know a couple of Commission members are going to try......but the more the better....and so on. |
