FFIV... EDS has just picked up a $10 Billion plus, five year contract to build a seamless, secure intranet for the Navy. See www.techweb.com. With the letting of the contract, the Navy supplied a list of IT contractors in good standing and specified that at least 35% of the work go to these subcontractors. (There would be incentives for a higher percentage to subcontractors.) The Navy and the Defense Dept. have been important customers of F-5, and F-5 has won the prestigious FOSE (Federal Office Systems Exposition) Best New Product Award earlier this year.
