Jacob,
Now you know that around this time two years ago, Brian was very bullish, and you and he went round and round, and it was ugly. It's fair to say that you didn't share his outlook to say the least, and there were personal attacks on both sides, imo. It turned out that at least for the last two years he was right, and AMAT appreciated dramatically, about ten fold before this sell off. During the run you came back periodically with messages like, "the end is nigh," but Amat kept rising.
I think Brian's comments to Cary were too strong and clearly out of line, and he should apologize, but it seems you are using his misstep to get back at him. This seems personal between you two, and the conflict will not serve the members of this thread who are here for education and discussion, as opposed to entertainment. Brian has been a long time, heavy contributor here, perhaps more than anyone. You slam him for being a perma-bull, but various viewpoints are useful and they don't have to all come from one person. You are to be congratulated on your ability to be both positive and negative.
I might add that the pressure is great on an investor right now, so this type of dispute couldn't come at a worse time. I would hope you guys can ALL resolve this without a thread breakdown.
