I believe Bush to be a pawn of special interests and more concerned with getting their goals met than doing a good job for the country; to whit, his selection of Cheney as his running mate.

Ted, its funny how someone's opinion about what is "supporting special interests" and what is "doing a good job for the country" can be so heavily influenced by your political opinion. I am not accuseing you of in some way being specially biased, I probably have similar biases, just in a different direction. Have you considered that some of those things that you see as bad for the country might be considered good by George Bush. Thus he would be making an honest attempt to do what he thinks is good for the country.
This of course would not be a reason for you to vote for him
if you disagree with his opinions on these issues.

I think one of the better things Bush did was his selection of Cheney as a running mate. I was very impressed by him in the debate, and I am rarely impressed by politicians. I'd probably rather see Cheney as president then Bush. (and I would definitely rather see Leiberman as president then
Gore.)
