Sorta like ATM Cells in Frames (CIF) that was tried by the folks up at Syracuse about five years ago with some vendor backing. This was an attempt to salvage any lingering hopes by the ATM camp to get their cells to the desktop. What a kludge. Even if it meant encapsulating the cells in Ethernet. If I remember the graphics accurately, a special shim had to be introduced into the stack in order to accommodate it. Pleased to meet you, by the way. FAC
