Cary,
I agree that it getting into and through Harvard can be many times easier if one has connections. But when we start talking about Advanced degrees however, it is here where we differ on opinion.
Bush may not be the easiest person to lsten to in the debates, but I believe he is straightforward; that is, he means what he says and he says what he means. I do not believe the same to be true for Al Gore. Gore IMO is a demagogue, and will pit neighbor against neighbor, merely to lift himself up. He has proven to be one of the most divisive people in modern politics, pitting white against black, uppler-class against middle class. Gore has targeted programs, targeted towards those who vote for him. Bush has across the board tax cuts/programs, where social engineering does not play a part, or should I say a much lesser part than does Gore's plans.
I was planning on voting for Nader because I believe both parties are bought and paid for by special interests and big money, but if I absolutely had to choose, there is no doubt I would choose Bush. And since the election looks to be close, it looks like I may have to spend my one vote for Bush instead of Nader simly because I believe Gore is a danger to our future. At least Clinton was able to take a middle-of-the-road stance on many things. Gore does not appear to want to reach a consensus; he has the answers. In my experience, people who have all of the answers are some of the most dangerous people there are. That is doubly true if they hold any position of power.
