No real surprise. LU was seriously outmaneuvered by NT in optical and blindsided by CSCO eating into their traditional telco business with its Voice over IP (VOIP) initiatives.

True, but the concern is with the increase in reserves for bad debt. If I remember correctly this hit Ciena, too. In the mind of Wall Street two data points makes a trend and everyone else who doesn't specifically deny it (and too bad if you're in your quiet period and can't) will be assumed to have the same problem.

Looks like the knee-jerk collateral damage in NT and CSCO will provide some great buying opportunities.

I don't want CSCO to be a better buying opportunity. It's been too good of a buying opportunity for ten points now. I'm ready for it to be expensive again.
