Here is why I am going to remain bullish even if a little
nervous.
Lucent continues to be a problem but I also think its effect will be short lived on JDSU, NT or Cisco.
There are a few of possibilities"

1. Read a news release on AMCC (yahoo news after the close)that says they sell 37% to NT and less than 10% to Lucent. They report tomorrow. Could be a catalyst for optical/networker stocks.

2. A statement from the competitors who are getting hit by Lucent's warning such as NT. Also a statement by one of the optical component stocks about being on target. Either could be big catalyst.

3. JNPR, PMCS on Thursday reporting. JNPR could be huge.

4. Abby and asset allocation to increase for stocks.

5. Intel stockbuyback or upgrade.

6. Middle east problem getting to some resolution. Notice the deadline was relaxed--a good sign for chance of resolution means Oil goes down.

7. Healthcare stock warning today--less of a defensive sector now.

8. A positive preannouncent for a key tech stock will also cause sentiment to shift.

9. Lots of money on the sidelines.

10. Lots of negativity on the techs.

11. Getting close to the lows on the Naz---a succesfull retest is likely if it gets that low.

12. The good companies will be reporting soon. MOT and YHOO are only the first of a bunch. MOT is not a good indicator and certainly not even a market leader in wireless. Considering the negativity, any good report tomorrow/thursday could be a big market mover.

13. Analyst defending stocks that are getting hit on worries and that have not reported yet.

Considering all the negatives out there that have been played out, there is every possibility that the first bit of real good news will cause a big rally. Sadly, we had no good news yet.
I did notice the CEO XLNX smile after seeing his stock hit by the 2 analysts. They report Monday---upside? good forward guidance? Many possibilities here as well.
