Now even the American flag is flying backwards! drudgereport.com Observers gathered inside of the Student Services Building at Manatee Community College in Bradenton, Florida watched in shock as Gore campaign staffers raised the Stars and Stripes -- backwards -- in violation of Federal Code. "This is not right, it should be the flag should be hanging the other way around," said one observer at the campaign rally. Gore went to the college to discusses college tuition tax deductions with Florida voters -- but the backwards flag quickly became a point of intrigue. The Flag Code -- Title 36, U.S.C., Chapter 10, As amended by P.L. 322, 103rd Congress, Approved September 13, 1994 -- clearly states that Old Glory, when displayed either horizontally or vertically against a wall, should have its union stars in the uppermost and to the flag's own right. Gore staffer displayed the flag in reverse.
