Ron,

long-gone was advocating that, so it seemed, basically saying so in so many words in response to my "cruise missile" offering.

He said:

[Jefferson] had in mind those weapons required for us to overthrow a repressive government every so often.

Since I've already said I doubt my .30-06 model 760 and .44 Desert Eagle are the kinds of weapons I'd need to take on this task, it would seem logical that better weapons would be required. I don't think it is universally accepted by those in the Pro-gun camp that limited ownership is acceptable. So, I don't think this is a red herring for everyone. Some people would consider it reasonable. Lather said it could be argued, but stopped short of supporting it himself.

Let's ask 'em. I asked long-gone for a list.
