<<<Did DELL get all of the hardware sales from the below contract?>>>
Yes, 350,0000 over x years but about 40,000 initially.
At Dell sales rate of $50mm/day that only amounts to 2 or 15 days of sales, plus cost for specialty software or installations.
Servers to go along with those 'puters would also be
a major extra $ for Dell
The real value here in $ for Dell is in future replacements when 3 ghz steps in, when wireless becomes
more common, when Navy personnel buy Dells (perhaps subsidized) for home use etc.
Having about 175,000 Premier pages, if Dell sold only 1 per day per page, that would be far more $ than the initial contract here.
Dell is still building the company and if you own a Dell you received their beautiful, straightforward,Dell4me catalog(get straight A's) which tells me they will do well on home systems esp. for schools . Growth in small business will be more difficult since a small business will tend to call in local people (instead of the Dell#) to set up a new or revised system.
This chart shows that Michael of Dell,Sanders of Amd,Morgan of Amat and Barrett of INTC are all in the same boat and could be equally condemned for not keeping the stock prices up(G) Are they ALL such bad managers?
