please say, "don't worry, everything will go back up again someday, even higher than before, or at least the good ones will, and we're smart enough to pick mostly those."

Okay, I won't. How about fear, frustration, anger, panic and words like sell. Is that what you want to hear? <ggg>

The weeding out process will indeed allow the best of the best to recover. Be they the new leaders or the old leaders. Earnings don't really matter in a market like this. It's been a selling party and a real bonanza if you've been playing any shorts. Fleckenstein's over on his column using Xerox as an example which indicates he's down to some of his last straws, but it's good to see him using all of his resources and getting creative. He might turn bullish yet. <ggg> Good grief, maybe somebody should let him know Xerox was hit with a discontinuous innovation or two over the last two decades. Snooze and lose.

Growth is growth. It will rise from the 'dead' again - of that I'm certain. By the time kid number one is out of diapers you'll be able to smile for several reasons.
