I'm wondering what will bring in the buyers. Several of the talking heads are saying we won't rally until AFTER the election, while at the same time saying it won't matter who is elected. Now what does that mean? If the election is a market uncertainty yet there is no official preference for either candidate than someone is lying.

Interesting what Gail Dudak just said, the downward trend in the market pulls power away from the administration in charge favoring the challenger. So the question is who does the street really prefer? And if it's Bush, this market will not come out of the doldrums until after the election. If it's Gore, it should as it will help him. It's a dead heat right now. And we're waiting for the market to show us some direction, the market it seems is waiting for the election. So we have a stalemate.
