Why do I get involved in these discussions with people who won't use their heads and think?????????? Stock can go down and stay down. Pull a chart of the Dow 1929-1954. Pull a chart of the Nikkei 225 1990-now. Can happen and does. Believe it. Why do you pull those dates, oh because you think they support your argument? Nobody invests for their retirement for the SHORT TERM. If someone had invested on a dollar cost average basis during those years you reference, they would be very wealthy today. 2%!!!!!!!!! bobp
