The man explained how he came to that conclusion on your name, and then apologized, and asked you to forgive him.
There was no smugness in that, and certainly no sham!
If there was no desire on your part to forgive him then just own up to it. Why attribute your not wanting to forgive him by accusing him of smugness. Forgiving is so much easier than carrying on as the offended.

Mars this is not a numbers game, like you try to make it in your quoting of 1 billion, 2 billion, 3 billion. God does not play fuzzy math. This is no game at all Mars.
Jesus Christ is a way of life. He is Life itself to all those who will believe.
Believe that He was sent by God as a sacrifice to the world.
Believe that only he was worthy to be that sacrifice.
Believe that He died for the sins of the world.
Believe that He rose again...as a testament to His Godhood.
And
Believe that He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
Mars Jesus was not just a great man....He is Saviour of the world, and He is Alive!! God Himself come in the flesh to save a dying world, And He would have come still if you were the only one on earth! Now that's love!!
