Stuart: I've been in the telecom field for a long time so I'm
pretty familiar with a lot of these companies and I'm also pretty
familiar with a lot of the upgrades the telco companies are going
to be needing over the next couple of years--that's why I say I do
know that DSC has the products that these companies need and it'll
just take the right management decisions to keep this company on
the right track.

I don't know about the TI deal, whether it's good or not, so I
hope somebody who does will keep us informed on that one.

As far as the target price for the stock, I'm looking at what I
think is fair value on some of the other stocks in this field and
I think DSC looks to be pretty reasonable--NT is trading at 83 this
morning and I think that's getting pretty expensive.

LU is also pretty expensive and I'm not too keen on their bureaucracy
either, maybe even less so than DSC. I've seen too many jobs that
the pre-split LU did for the telco companies that I feel were very
poorly handled.

Also, NT was doing such bad work a couple of years ago and caused
so much trouble for some of the telco's that they got banned from
some central offices and then were allowed back only under probation
and strict supervision by the telco employees.

And I think everybody already knows about the big software snafu
that caused NT all those troubles awhile back.

So even though DSC gets slammed by a lot of people, they aren't
alone--these problems happen to all of these companies, especially
when they've got growing pains and try to take on more jobs than
they can safely handle with current staffing levels.
