I don't mind, but I haven't seen many analysts who have the knowledge to talk about AMAT or TXN's DSP technology with any real understanding of what these technologies are about.

When Intel is unable to meet earnings, or when MOT claims that future earnings will not be that good, everyone assumes that TXN, STM or even Nokia will have identical problems. Yet, if you read the company profiles on TXN and STM, you will discover that their businesses are not identical to Intel's. And Motorola has had problems for many, many quarters.
