To anyone. Help me out here. I realize Ruff and others have been wondering if some chip giant would get involved with the Spinco IPO. The IPO represents about 10% of Spinco with the balance of about 90% to be distributed to Q shareholders. Why would any company want just the IPO, i.e., just 10% of Spinco? Is the implication that some outside company would "come to the table" prior to the IPO and work some deal with Q for perhaps a large stake, say 50% for all of Spinco ? If so, I could understand this reasoning. Obviously it would change the "scheduled" IPO dramatically. Comments ?
