Big Picture Technologies And CommerceFlow Add
Auction Capabilities to eMerchant pro

bigpic.com

Calgary, AB and Sanfranciso, CA, October 10, 2000 -- Big
Picture Technologies Inc. (CDNX:BPI)
Big Picture Technologies Inc. (CDNX:BPI) and CommerceFlow,
Inc. today announced that they have signed a revenue sharing
agreement to offer CommerceFlow’s auction management service,
AuctionFlow, to users of Big Picture’s eMerchant pro™
e-commerce product. The new partnership offers Big
PictureTechnologies’ small business customers a single point of
access to manage transactions across the highest-volume online
auction marketplaces. This new global channel of more than 15.8
million online auction users drives additional traffic to virtual
storefronts, increases sales opportunities, and speeds inventory
turnover.
“The ability for our merchants to automatically list their inventory
items on the world’s most popular auction sites through the
AuctionFlow service is an exciting addition to eMerchant pro,” said
Michael Anthony, Big Picture President and CEO. “Providing our
customers the opportunity to extend their e-commerce reach into
one of the hottest markets today provides a huge competitive
advantage.”
AuctionFlow delivers complete auction management services
designed for businesses that buy and sell on high-volume
marketplaces such as eBay®, Amazon, and Yahoo!. AuctionFlow's
online solution provides integrated workflow that guides businesses
through every step of the auction process, simplifying and
automating sales and purchasing through online auction channels.
Forrester Research has forecasted that sales completed through
online, dynamic pricing markets will reach $746 billion in 2004. This
drive to dynamic pricing is being led by small businesses selling and
buying on high-volume auction marketplaces. Detailed analysis of
online auction data reveals that small businesses account for 80%
of sales, and 40% of purchases, on high-volume auction
marketplaces.
“By stocking its products in more than 3,500 retail outlets
throughout North America, Big Picture has taken the lead in making
affordable, effective e-commerce software available to small
businesses,” said Aaron Emigh, CEO and founder of
CommerceFlow. “We are proud to have been selected as an
important component of Big Picture’s premiere solution.”
Big Picture merchants will be able to access the AuctionFlow
service directly from eMerchant pro in November. Integration with
Big Picture’s inventory management system will enable Big Picture
customers to list items on auction sites directly from inventory or
catalogs. This functionality will be available by year’s end.
