Job Information Description SUMMARY: The Webmaster is responsible for the development and maintenance of the Ariba corporate Web site. The Webmaster will work closely with Marketing, Investor Relations, Human Resources, Technical Support, and Education to define and implement requirements.
RESOPONSIBILITIES: * Understand business objectives and select appropriate technologies and approaches to create effective global Web site * Design and maintain the current Web site, including planning, implementation, and quality assurance * Assist in the administration of the current Web site, including Windows NT 4.0 and Internet Information Server 4.0 with Cold Fusion * Manage internationalization of Web site * Implement traffic reporting and analysis system and a revision control system * Implement additional interactive, multi-media, and personalization technologies to enable site visitors to gain more value and information from the site * Implement, develop, and maintain Web-based lead generation system and electronic marketing campaign system
SKILLS: The ideal candidate will be personable, bright, and enthusiastic, has a computer science background, a desire to further his technical skills, and willingness to "do whatever it takes" to make both the company and himself successful.
REQUIREMENTS: * At least three years of hands-on experience building Web sites * Hands-on experience with HTML coding, CGI programming, ColdFusion, JavaScript, and Perl * Familiarity with relational database concepts and SQL Experience developing Web site architecture and planning Web site infrastructure * Experience tuning and optimizing Web site performance * At least two years experience managing large projects and coordinating suppliers * Superior organizational skills and ability to meet very aggressive deadlines * Exceptional follow-through * Excellent oral and written communications skills * A minimum of a bachelor's degree from a recognized university in computer science is required; a master's degree in computer science or related field is desirable |
