Earlie, this is why i never tire to mention what i see as an increasingly worrisome problem in the credit markets. it looks as though in spite of the Fed's huge liquidity injections a mini credit crunch is developing. Moody's recently reported that corporate bond downgrades relative to upgrades just hit their highest point since '89, while high yield defaults are close to recession levels.
if anyone needs proof that malinvestment has flourished, this is it, as the economy has been cooking while this deterioration took place.
