hi bob,

very encouraging to hear nsw2001 installed without a hitch. also good to know i'll need to uninstall previous nsw version.

re "It is also telling me there is an update to the virus program but will not install it"

i've been doing some experimenting on this topic. what i've found is that, after running liveupdate, virus defs will not install (despite a dialog saying that they have) IF ...

a) you are prompted via a dialog to reboot to complete the install, and

b) you follow that instruction.

rebooting will put you into the endless liveupdate loop. not everyone gets this reboot dialog, though. i do. when i ignore the reboot and select the 'continue with windows without rebooting' option, then click on the nav status page, i see that the new defs are there.

whether or not this is the case for you, i don't know.

thanks for the nsw2001 feedback

:)
