reyou picked the worst days to sell
That's because I never intended to sell the stocks I bought until they made big gains...so didn't sell when I had a small loss. Then when the loss becomes so large that I am in danger of losing my lifestyle....I see no other choice. The problem is there is no guarantee that we will have an end of the year rally: this is not a bull market it is a bear market, and many of us, including me, have not been in one before. I should have put enough money into cash at the beginning of the year to keep my plans going and then I could let losses on the rest ride. But I didn't do that because I thought the bull would ride forever.
