It's nice to have some good news from GLW. However, does anyone really understand what the heck is going on here? I understand the point of pre-announcing missed estimates. But, why would companies pre-announce they're going to make X% more than expected? What's the point of having an earnings release date if you're going to give all the details almost 2 weeks before expected like Corning did tonight? Is this a new game in town? Funny how it traded almost 4X avg volume today. Somebody always knows something.
