You can "define" it anyway you want. But it doesn't make it a reasonable response unless you decide to define reasonable as including accepting things on faith without proof. I certainly can't accept that definition. You are using words to make yourself feel more comfortable- WHY? If you're so sure you've got the answer what do YOU care whether it's an irrational leap or a "reasonable" response? What's bugging you? That you've no empirical data? I've got news for you- it's bugged people for ages, literally. Either get used to it, or get a philosophy that can tolerate doubt.
