Re AMD report:
The "PC is dead" argument just went up in smoke.
28mm P/C processors, sold out, hard pressed to meet needs, 10% sequential growth, etc.
Looks very good for CPQ,(and GTW) who once again may ( in fact, has to), stuff the channels for Christmas.
Good luck, and Cpq may lead Dell up a bit now.
I suspect increased pressure on Intc to "make it up" to Dell for damage done thru bad motherboards, chip delays, etc. It can be done in many ways, full payment for the
replacement cost of motherboards, higher speed processors at same price as lower speeds they could not deliver, new reductions in processor pricing.Which could improve Dell
margins.
