I loved the way Bush tried to squirm out of the obvious lie (exaggeration?) on the non-existant Texas Hate Crime Law. I can't find access to a transcript yet, but he said something like, "And guess what? Texas has a hate crime law!"

When reminded by Gore that the hate crimes bill backed by the Byrd family did not pass the legislature he spewed something along the lines if murder isn't hate what is it? Texas has murder laws. Hmmm....Brilliant analysis...What a progressive state..

I expect the press to have a field day with this in the coming days. Say bye-bye to many of his Hispanic supporters. Minority voters are smarter than to swallow this lie.
