I'm pretty sure that the post you're responding to was tongue-in-cheek by Mr. McNutt- I know I read it that way.

I was disturbed by Gore's statement again last night that, "I want to give new choices to parents to send their kids to college with a $10,000 tax deduction for college tuition per child, per year.
This is just not true.
In reality he is only slightly improving an existing credit for higher education or training courses. The current credit pays for 20 percent of $5,000 in tuition and fees, and it is due to jump to $10,000 in 2002. Gore would boost that to 28 percent, and make some wealthier families eligible.

Earlier I thought we had read that this was only applicable to one child in a family? Was that wrong info?
