Clinton must be busy trying to stop the gold rally:

Reno Only Administration Official Available to Comment On Attack
By Jim Burns

October 12, 2000

(CNSNews.com) - More than two hours after a U.S. Navy destroyer was attacked in a Yemen port, Attorney General Janet Reno was the only Clinton administration official available to comment on the attack that killed at least Americans and injured 36. Twelve other Americans are reported missing.

Neither President Clinton (in Chappaqua, New York), Defense Secretary William Cohen, nor Secretary of State Madeleine Albright appeared before television cameras as major stories were breaking in both Yemen and the Middle East.

Reno was unable to answer many questions, but she did say FBI investigators are on their way to the scene.
